How many girls won’t put out with the lights on? Lots, I believe. My meager experience of a dozen or so women made me realize that some women have a physical feature that they don’t want their partners to see. It could be the breast size, the butt or the body proportion that’s making them feel inferior. Performance anxiety can happen not only to men, but also to women. This is defined as the inability to have sex with abandon (if at all). This type of sexual insecurity may also be related to culture and upbringing, as well as idealistic notions of how sex should be.

Cultural views on sex and openness about new sexual quirks may affect sexual performance. Regulations are in place to prevent kids from learning about sex too early. Sadly, some parents don’t know when to stop admonition, and start sex education. A reversal of the ‘dirty sex’ mentality should start when teeners start dating, usually 18 or 21 in most cultures, so that they won’t carry the notion that sex is a prohibited thing when they start developing and discovering their budding sexuality.

It’s the nagging feeling that they shouldn’t be doing it that fosters anxiety, or that anyone could know about their indiscretion and call them out. One of the best ways for women and men to have a healthier sex life is to simply relax, bask in the love that they share and increase their intimacy without reservations. Being at ease with one’s sexuality is a way to achieve better orgasms.
